Newly remodeled condo with high end cabinets, granite counter top kitchen, all new stainless steel appliances. New bathroom cabinet and granite counter . Our oceanfront studio condo is on the 4th floor of the only beach front property in Lahaina- The Lahaina Shores Beach Resort. The resort is located in West Maui at 475 Front street, Lahaina, walking distance to the quaint, historic Lahaina town with many types of restaurants and shops, and marina where ferry to other islands and excursion boats depart . Lahaina Shores is a 7 story plantation style building with 199 individually owned condos. The resort is well decorated and maintained and operated as a condo-tel with 24/7 service. Located right next door to Lahaina Shores is the 505 shopping complex, a charming, small shopping center with two of Lahaina's best rated restaurants, plus many shops and a convenience store.
The condo has the most spectacular view of the ocean and island of Lanai and sometimes whales (in winter). It is on the quiet end of the building, the only sound you hear is the ocean waves. The sandy beach in front of the resort is protected by a natural reef barrier making it perfect for swimming, snorkeling, paddle board surfing. There are many things to do at Lahaina Shores, you can take in some sun on the lawn or the beach right outside the property, frolicking in the the swimming pool, relaxing in the Jacuzzi spa, enjoy a drink on the lanai watching sunset and listening to the rolling waves.
The condo is well maintained, with a fully equipped kitchen, breakfast bar, dinning table, flat screen TV, VCR-DVD player, free Wi-Fi, private lanai with table and chairs, shower-tub combo, queen-size bed and an airbed if needed.
There are beach towels, umbrella, beach chairs, beach mats, boogie boards and cooler for your enjoyment.

Summary: We loved the location. Right on the beach and the main road of Front St with all the shopping and restaurants. The unit itself was ok. Loved being oceanfront and the balcony was lovely. The kitchen had been renovated but the rest of the unit is definitely dated. The bathroom area is super tight. There has definitely been lots of wear and tear over the years. Rusty hinges, old door knobs, etc. Nothing bad at all, just had higher expectations of the unit maybe being a bit more updated. There was definitely an older, musty smell in the unit. Again- nothing unbearable and we would come back to Lahaina Shores but maybe see if there is another more updated unit. We love Maui and hope to be back.
